1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Clip Ahora (including the Clip Ahora Chrome Extension, the website at clipahora.com, and any related applications or services), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the software.

Clip Ahora is a proprietary brand, product, and software utility created, owned, and operated by Skoolafix Limited, an incorporated technology entity based in Nairobi, Republic of Kenya (email: skoolafix@gmail.com).

2. Software License & Permitted Use

Skoolafix Limited grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Clip Ahora Chrome Extension and related software for your lawful personal or commercial video clipping workflows, subject to the conditions set forth herein.

You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or circumvent technical security measures of the software, except to the extent permitted by applicable law.

3. Content Rights & Acceptable Use

Clip Ahora is a tool designed to help users capture, trim, and share short moments from videos they watch. You are solely responsible for how you use the clips you create.

• Respect Intellectual Property: You agree not to use Clip Ahora in violation of copyright, trademark, privacy, or publicity rights of third parties or video creators.
• Compliance with Platform Rules: You agree to abide by the applicable terms of service of the third-party platforms you browse (such as YouTube, Twitch, X/Twitter, and others).
• No Unlawful Content: You may not use the software to capture, distribute, or facilitate defamation, harassment, hate speech, or illegal content.

4. Free Tier & Watermark Agreement

The free version of Clip Ahora permits retroactive in-memory clipping up to 2 minutes on supported web video players. You acknowledge and agree that free clips automatically include an unobtrusive, semi-transparent dark glass watermark badge in the corner (featuring the official Clip Ahora mark: Clip Ahora • clipahora.com). You agree not to programmatically or maliciously alter or tamper with the watermark injection routine.

5. Product Availability & macOS Desktop App Status

The Clip Ahora Chrome Extension is currently distributed and active. The Clip Ahora for Mac desktop application is currently under active development and is designated as “Coming Soon”. Skoolafix Limited makes no warranties regarding the precise delivery timeline or feature set of pre-release or upcoming desktop releases.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. SKOOLAFIX LIMITED DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR COMPATIBLE WITH ALL FUTURE BROWSER RELEASES.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SKOOLAFIX LIMITED, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service and any dispute arising out of or related to your use of Clip Ahora shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the substantive laws of the Republic of Kenya, without giving effect to any principles of conflict of laws.
